P J Livesey Group
P J Livesey Group chose the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (aka Friends of Rosie) as their Charity of the Year. The team have been doing a fantastic job fundraising for research. From raffles and cake sales, to Christmas jumper days and Coronation celebrations.
They also make a monthly corporate donation to Friends of Rosie.
Based in Manchester, for over 40 years the P J Livesey Group has been at the forefront of specialist property development and restoration, taking a determined approach to put quality first every time.

We’re delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for Bruntwood SciTech, across their Manchester Science Park and Citylab campus.
Bruntwood SciTech offer premium office and lab space, a range of scientific services, and specialist business support, to companies in the science and technology sectors, helping them to form, scale and grow.
Alongside a 50-year track record in the property industry, Bruntwood SciTech brings a wealth of experience in creating and developing strategic partnerships with UK regional cities, universities and NHS Trusts.
Over the next year, we will be partnering with the Bruntwood SciTech team to raise funds and awareness for children’s cancer research. They are also the headline sponsor for our annual Children’s Christmas Party, supporting the children, and their families, currently in treatment on the cancer wards at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Exchange Chambers
Exchange Chambers have helped to fund a new children’s cancer research project after naming the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (aka Friends of Rosie) as its official charity partner.
Exchange’s charity partnership ran for two years and saw the award-winning barristers’ Chambers support the charity through a wide-range of fundraising initiatives. In particular, Exchange’s fundraising aimed to fund a new research project to help find cures, better treatments and improved diagnosis for children with cancer.
Jonathan I’Anson, Chief Executive at Exchange Chambers said, “The research ideas Friends of Rosie funds are right at the outset of medical thinking and innovation. It has been a real privilege to support their vital work and to fund a second year of specialist children’s cancer research into Proton Beam Therapy. Nancy, 11, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma when she was just 2 years old. She was treated with Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) in Germany but unfortunately relapsed less than a year later. The family were then sent to Germany for a second round of PBT. Although treatment helped to cure Nancy’s cancer, she has been left with lots of lasting effects which will require ongoing treatment throughout her life. Here Nancy and her mum, Antonia, share their story in the hope it will help others, raise awareness, and raise more money for children’s cancer research.
Why I am a Trustee of CCRF
I have spent my professional career representing individuals and families affected by the devastating asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma, which has no cure and for which there are only a limited number of palliative treatments available on the NHS.
I joined CCRF because I wanted to bring my understanding of the need to raise awareness of less well known cancers and passion for the need to secure improved funding for research to children facing a cancer diagnosis.
My role on the Board
I am responsible for oversight of our collaboration agreements with other charities to co-fund research into cures and treatments for childhood cancers. I also manage our challenge events and help with community fundraising.
My Background
I am a Senior Associate at Irwin Mitchell LLP and specialise in Asbestos Disease Litigation, acting on behalf of victims of asbestos related diseases and their families. Over the years, I have undertaken a number of fundraising challenges to raise money for cancer research, including a 1000 mile cycle ride from Glasgow to Southampton.
