Sometimes our amazing fundraisers come from some unique places, none so much as the international crew of a 60m luxury motor yacht in the Med!
Last month, we were contacted by the crew of the Lusine who wanted to do something to help children with cancer. And so they set themselves a one-month cycling challenge on board the deck of their spectacular yacht, with the goal of raising £5k for children’s cancer research.
Any downtime they have from their duties is currently spent on the Peloton on the deck of the yacht (and sometimes even on the move on the rib!). With a goal of 1,500km, they’re tracking every kilometer through Strava and sharing their journey in real time on social media.
Their aim is to raise awareness and solidarity for early-stage, game-changing childhood cancer research (which is exactly what we do!). And what better month to complete their challenge than September – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
To the whole crew of Lusine – a huge thank you for all the incredible effort you are putting into this challenge. We couldn’t do what we do without support like yours.
And another big thank you to everyone who has donated so far to support the team. Together we will be the difference for children with cancer.
